PAYDAY TREATS: June

It's almost the end of the month, so that means one thing for many of us... pay day!! This month for my 'Payday Treats' post I decided to choose a trend rather than a variety off things within a budget. I'm really loving floral prints at the moment (remember my recent post 'Vintage Rose'), so I'd thought I'd pick out some of my favourite pieces available on the high street and online. Get your purses ready ladies!

Jewels and Pearls

'A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.'
- Coco Chanel
Today I decided to take a little advice from Chanel with my outfit, keeping things classy and fabulous (if I may say so myself). I decided to colour block my favourite colour combination; green and blue, threw in some white and finished off the ensemble with jewellery that brings together all the colours.

Vintage Rose

'Fashion has always been a repetition of ideas... but what makes it new is the way you put it together.' - Unknown
Towards the end of April I wrote a post on my experience at the Vintage Market in Brick Lane (see post here) and also gave you a sneaky peep of what I brought. Well today I thought I'd give you a look at one of my purchases, this amazing floral flowing top from Franklin Tree. I went for a casual look with jeans, kind of 70s inspired with a floppy hat and chunky wedges. I finished off with an oversized tan clutch which brought together the wedges and the hat.

African Roots

'A nation's culture resides in the hearts and the soul of its people.'
- Mahatma Gandhi

Today I thought I'd embrace my west African roots by expressing it in my attire. I teamed this bralet with on trend culottes and a simple black chiffon head scarf. I brought together the look with chunky tan wedges and a matching oversized clutch, finishing with a large gold choker and African gold hand-painted wooden earrings.

My Buys: Michael Kors Bracelet and Earrings

As you may have realised from previous posts I've got a bit of a thing for Michael Kors; jewellery and leather goods. I own two bags, a purse, a watch, a bangle and now these beautiful earrings and amazing bracelet. Luckily, with these earrings I got the last pair in my local store - in fact it turns out they're sold out in all London stores, so if you want to get your hands on them try online. The bracelet is available both online and in store, so don't waste time and wait for them to be sold out before you take action. What I love about MK jewellery is that it's affordable and distinctive, with prices starting from as little as £40. I tend to wear my earrings to work, as they are pretty but discreet and I wear my bracelet on nights out or during the day, to dress up otherwise very casual outfits.
