Pink x Black x Stone

"I think there is beauty in everything. What 'normal' people would perceive as ugly, I can usually see something of beauty in it."
- Alexander McQueen

My favourite trend of the Winter is definitely the faux fur coat and as you may have seen from my recent posts I am literally obsessed with them. I've built up quite a collection, in a range of colours and fits; from post box red and oversized to the longline classic black, I really just can't get enough.

When I spotted this amazing baby pink faux fur coat on Missguided I just knew I had to have it, but unfortunately it was not yet on sale. Quite a tease displaying it on the website (when it wasn't available) I thought, but every other day I would go and have a look to see if it had become available, to my delight after a month it was eventually on the site and best of all available in my size. Out came the purse.

I decided to keep the attention on the coat with this outfit, by teaming it up with muted tones. I teamed the coat up with a pink cold shoulder thin knit jumper from ASOS, faux suede leggings from Zara, a black fedora hat from River Island and black pointed court perspex heels from H&M. I finished off the look with more faux fur, a black large stole and a stone and silver cross body bag, both from Zara. Believe me when I say I was as snug as  bug.

Saucy Red

"The customer is the final filter. What survives the whole process is what people wear. I'm not interested in making clothes that end up in some dusty museum."
- Marc Jacob

One of my favourite colours for the festive season is red, so I decided to feature a little something on the blog for the special occasion. But as usual I decided to add a twist. Rather than wearing a typical Christmas jumper or a floppy Santa hat, I decided to sexy things up just a bit; ensuring I would appear on Sanata's naughty list. Hey, what fun is it always being good?!

I opted for this red faux fur coat and slinky deep cut tie front red dress, both from Lotd.com. I added gold platform heeled sandals and a gold caged sphere bag, both from ASOS. I finished off the look with the perfect touch, red bold lipstick. Santa can keep his present, I don't do nice.

Funky Pink

"What I've done, Coco Chanel would never have done. she would have hated it."
- Karl Lagerfeld

As the year draws to an end, I've been reflecting and thinking about the ups and downs I faced. I can honestly say, my blog has been a positive source for me to express myself... and I'm so grateful for the continued love and support I've received from family, friends and my followers. Loving what I do and knowing people appreciate my style, makes this all worthwhile.

I always stay true to myself when it comes to style, I don't try and copy anyone (despite how much I may admire their style) and I wear whatever I want when I want. With me there are no rules, as long as I feel good and look good (well in my opinion) that's all that matters. And that is exactly the mindset I was in when I put together this funky outfit.

Forget about people watching you, wondering whether or not they like what you are wearing, it's all about how you feel. As much as I love wearing black and white, I love wearing bright bold colours... some people admire it, others think I'm over the top, but for me... it makes me feel happy and puts me in a positive mood.

With this outfit I decided to mix hot pink with grey and a touch of snakeskin; teaming together these pink trousers I brought from Zara in the late Summer, with a printed t-shirt from Missguided and a grey faux suede faux fur coat from Zara. My chunky calf boots from Public Desire added character to the outfit and my hat from eBay and bag from Zara added the perfect finishing touches.

Bring on 2018 more crazy prints and bold colours to come.

Golden Child

"You can never take too much care over the choice of your shoes. Too many women think that they are unimportant, but the real proof of an elegant women is what is on her feet."
- Christian Dior

As Christmas and New Years draw closer, I thought it would be the perfect time to glam things up and draw up some inspiration. So, unusual for me, I ditched the sunglasses and dolled myself up with some makeup, including mandatory red lipstick for the festive period. A firm favourite this time of year is velvet, so I opted for this amazing long sleeved black and gold mini dress from LOTD.com and matching black boots from Hidden Fashion. To add a luxe feel to the outfit I added this large faux fur black stole from Zara (now sold out), a gold large clutch from Missguided (old) and simple gold jewellery.

Pure Luxe

"I loathe narcissism, but I approve of vanity."
- Diana Vreeland

There are not many colour combinations that can beat the luxe look of Black and Gold. It has long been one of my favourite colour combinations, but I can't remember the last time I wore it. So I dug out my favourite Zara trousers (old) and teamed it with a cool sheer striped top from Pretty Little Thing, a maxi faux fur black coat from Boohoo.com (black sold out, other colours available) and a statement necklace from New Look. I brought together the look with a black faux leather trim fedora hat from River Island, Black pointed heels from Primark (old) and my trusted black leather bag from Michael Kors.

Panther

"Always dress like you're going to see your worst enemy."
- Kimora Lee

So... this was the first time I took photos of myself, for the blog. I literally got up one Saturday morning and was in the mood to take photos, but it was so last minute to get a photographer, so I just set the camera up and posed away. Let me tell you it wasn't easy at all, but I made it work, albeit only for a few shots. I guess it taught me patience because I didn't give up until I got a couple of decent shots. In fact, it taught me that I shouldn't have to and don't need to always rely on others... especially when I'm capable of doing whatever it is myself. So, be prepared to see more photos taken by me... they might not be as good initially, but I will keep trying until I've mastered the art of photography.

With this outfit, I decided to keep things black... yes, completely black. The absence of colour is why I like this outfit so much. This is especially true, because after all the colour I have been featuring of late it is nice to have a refreshing break. For this outfit, I teamed up this sheer striped top from Pretty Little Thing with a black faux leather mini skirt from Zara (old), cutout patent boots from Hidden Fashion, a faux fur stole from Zara and a cross body bag, also from Zara (sold out).

Lime Light

"I like my money right where I can see it, hanging in my closet."
- Carrie Bradshaw

I was feeling a little bold and I wanted to feature an outfit that reflected how I was feeling. So I decided to wear this amazing faux fur lime green coat from the Kourtney Kardashian x Pretty Little Thing collection (sold out in Lime, available in Pink), with this simple matching body con dress from River Island (old). I teamed up the perfect duo with perspex heeled sandals from Public Desire, a Silver Large clutch bag from ASOS (sold out) and to tie the look together, a silver statement necklace from Aldo Shoes at ASOS (old). Who knew that lime green and dark purple go so well together?!

Grey Clouds

"Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak."
- Rachel Zoe

So with all the colourful outfits I've been featuring of late, I thought I'd change things up a bit... bring you something a little more muted, but stylish enough to pack a punch. Continuing with my love for faux fur, I decided to team up this cool faux fur bomber jacket from Zara, with a simple grey wrap dress from H&M (old). To give the outfit a bit of an edgy yet mysterious look, I added this black and faux leather fedora hat from River Island (sold out, but alternative here), cool H&M point perspex heels (old) and finished the look off with my favourite Michael Koors arm candy.
