Hello Sailor (Holiday Lookbook)

"Fashion is the armour to survive the reality of everyday life."
- Bill Cunningham

Here's another look I put together whilst on holiday in Italy. I mixed old stripes with new stripes to get the head to toe nautical ensemble. I picked up the hat from a market stall in Venice and thought it'd go great with my full on stripes look. I wanted something I could chill in whilst at the poolside; lazy loose trousers from the new A/W 2014 at Zara and an old swimsuit from ASOS. I finished off the look with some gold jewellery and a mischievous smile.

In to the Wild (Holiday Lookbook)

"Pure, intense emotions. It's not about design. It's about feelings."
- Alber Elbaz

Whilst on holiday in Italy (merely a week ago) I decided to recycle my leopard print bag and belt (last worn here), teaming it with my new forest green full midi skirt, from the new A/W 2014 Zara Collection. The leopard print against the green reminds me of the wild, the jungle...whilst my black crop top adds a flirty touch to the ensemble. I finished off the look with my signature big gold hoops from Freedom by Topshop, black floppy felt hat and larger than life sunglasses.

PICK OF THE WEEK: Leopard Print Brogues (Dune)

My pick of the week are these amazing pony hair leopard print brogues from Dune. Not only are they head turners, they're comfortable and can be dressed up or down.

I spotted these about a month ago in my local store, but couldn't justify getting them as I had already spent a lot of money that day. But today I decided to bite the bullet and just buy them. I think they'd look great with black skinny jeans and a khaki knitted jumper, for a safari look. Or just as great with ripped boyfriend jeans, a smart black blazer and a white t-shirt, for a effortlessly chic look.

Want to get your hands on these head-turners? head over to your local store or visit the Dune website (here). They're worth every penny of the £69 price tag.

Pink Cloud

"Women want to wear what they do because what goes on in their heads. Their size and shape have practically nothing to do with it."
- Elizabeth Hawes

So I decided to keep things casual this time round, causal but bold. I was feeling a little laid back and relaxed and just wanted to wear something comfortable. I teamed up grey skinny jeans with a plain grey round neck top and a pink trench (one of my recent 'Pick of the Week' features... see the post here). I finished off the look with this killer statement necklace and a black structured MK bag and black ankle strap sandals.

Stripes

"Like poetry, fashion does not state anything. It merely suggests."
- Karl Largerfeld

I soaked up the last of the Summers sun in this navy and white number I threw together the other day. I was going to stick with the nautical colours, as most people do when they have navy and white attire, but I chose lime green oppose to the typical red. I finished of the ensemble with chunky gold jewellery and gold sandals (see my review here).

PICK OF THE WEEK: Striped Trousers (Zara)

I love nautical ensembles, so when I saw these fab trousers in Zara I just had to get them. They're available in an array of colours, but these were definitely my favourite of the lot. Not only are the super comfortable they look great dressed casually and smart. I wore mine with a white long sleeve crop top and gold sandals (post coming soon). Here's a sneak peek...

To get your hands on these trousers visit your local store or their website, at £17.99 you can't go wrong.

Happy shopping.
