Looking Back: September 2016

It's been another hectic month, just like August I was only able to get 5 outfit posts done and as you know that's largely due to the fact that for a large bulk of the month I was on holiday in Bulgaria. I wont bore you with my usual chat... just going to promise you that this coming October will be much more productive and feature a range of trends, including some unusual combos - even for myself.

Thank you for the continued support... stay glued.

PICK OF THE WEEK: Velvet Ankle Boots (Pretty Little Thing)

Yes, I'm so happy velvet is back and dominating both the catwalk and the high-street. I'm a big fan of the flattering material and happy to see that the material isn't just being limited to clothing. Like, come on... how amazing are these crushed velvet ankle boots from Missguided. With a gold heel (my favourite), at £40 it's sure to be a sell-out and blogger fave. Get your purses ready ladies...

Happy shopping!

My Travels: Bulgaria

So I've been very quiet of recent, and that's because I've just recently come back from holiday in beautiful Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. Based on the Black Sea coat of Bulgaria, Sunny Beach has an amazing night-life, friendly locals and great water sports... particularly during peak season, which I was told is between June and mid September.

Travelling with my siblings and friends, we had a great time walking a long the long sandy beach, sipping on cocktails and soaking up the warm Summer's sun. There was lots to do and plenty see and all good value for money. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to Ibiza, with a little more relaxed vibe.. this is definitely the place to visit. Plenty of clubs offer a wide variety of music, I' recommend Bounce and Oxygen, if like me you love Hip Hop and R&B... I was in my element, dancing on stage like no one was watching.

We enjoyed a 7 night stay at 5 star Royal Barcelo Spa Hotel, based a very short walk from the beach and an even short walk to the bars an night clubs. All inclusive enabled us to fully enjoy all of the hotels services; with breakfast lunch and dinner, alcoholic drinks throughout the day and more. However, if you'd like to explore a little more with a vast range of cuisines, there's plenty to chose from in Sunny Beach, whether your going for a short or long stay.

Unfortunately, the majority of my photos and videos were captured on my smart phone, via Snapchat (follow me; styledn2fashion), but you can also view some on my Instagram page. However, I did manage to capture a few of my favourite beach outfit...

Enjoy. x

Neutral Blue

'Style is primarily a matter of instinct.'
- Bill Blass

So, I'd been wondering what colours other than blue, white and yellow go well with my new blue hair... and I decided that I don't actually care, I'm going to wear whatever I want, regardless of whether others think my new do looks good with an outfit or not. I'm not about pleasing others when it comes to my personal style, it's all about what I feel comfortable in and what I believe I look good in. And today that just happened to be camel, or to some of you nude. I decided to keep things simple and show off my hair, in all its glory. Today... nothing was going to steal it's limelight. I teamed up the look with some perspex goodies; there calf boots and a sleek little cross body bag - simple and effective.

PICK OF THE WEEK: Zara Short Velvet Dress

OMG!!! I think I am in love! How gorgeous is the mustard velvet dress from Zara?! Damn, I can't wait for it to become available in my local store. Velvet is big on the fashion scene right now, so if you want to get in on the transitional trend, this is one piece worth considering. I can just imagine wearing it with a black polo neck and black suede ankle boots... perfect Autumn outfit. At just £19.99 it's a steal!

I'd been eyeing this leopard print skirt from Zara for the longest time... and finally I decided to stop being a tight-ass and get my purse out and just buy it. And I'm so glad I did, because I absolutely love it. It's just so versatile and can be dressed up or worn casually. Today, I decided to wear the skirt with an off the shoulder bodysuit from Pretty Little Thing  and teamed it with these amazingly beautiful heels from Public Desire. I finished off the look with a plain black cross body bag and my new favourite shades from Versace.

Princess

'You can have anything you want if you dress for it.'

Today I was feeling pretty girlie and wanted to wear something that reflected my mood. So true princess style, i rocked a full tulle and an off the shoulder top. Not wanting to be over girlie... well you have to get the right balance, I decided to go for masculine colours; teaming khaki green and navy blue with a splash of gold, my favourite. Oh how pretty is the skirt from Zara... guess you can see why I love the retailer so much.

Dashiki Pride

'Make it simple, but significant.'
- Don Draper

So today I decided to finally wear this dashiki... especially since my hair works well with the colours. I was gifted it many month ago to feature on my blog, and I decided before the Summer is up to feature it for you all to see. I decided to play on the colours of the top; teaming up white skinny jeans from Topshop, with these blogger favourite heeled sandals from Zara (a few seasons back) and a faux leather white clutch bag. I was feeling bold and beautiful... I always do when wearing African clothing and prints.

True Navy

'I know what women look good in. I don't think the rules ever change.'
- Michael Kors

So I decided to change things up a bit, as you can see I now have blue hair. I've always loved blue hair but have been a bit reserved about actually having my hair in such a bold colour and to top it off would it even go with anything in my wardrobe. Well, I bit the bullet and here I am.

For my first outfit post featuring this bold and beautiful new do I decided to play on the blue colour and donned a nautical ensemble: red navy and white, of course with my favourite... a hint of gold. I paired this pretty paisley silk shirt from booho.com with navy fitted trousers from Mango. I simply threw a white blazer over my shoulders and stepped into these gold bad boy heels from Zara... to achieve this chic look. And if your wondering the eye-catching gold coin necklace is a favourite of mine from Forever 21. If you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram, you would have seen that I picked up these amazing Versace sunglasses from the airport... and ever since I got back from holiday a week ago, they've been glued to me.

I can't wait to show you some of the other looks I've put together... stay tuned.
