"Women who wear black lead colourful lives."
- Neiman Marcus

I've been featuring a number of striped looks, so it's about time I showed you all that there are other prints that I also like... like floral. You many have read in one of my recent posts, that I wasn't always a fan of the print, due to my mum decking out the family home with floral vomit in the 1990s. However, much has changed and floral has for a long while been one of my favourite prints. So when I came across this cute co-ord set on Boohoo, I decided to get it.

I decided to team up the set with a black sweetheart neckline bracket, that I've had for a few years now (also from Boohoo). I finished off the look with some pretty gold pieces; a gold bag from Mango and a gold cross chain belt from Pretty Little Thing. I finished off the look with bold but pretty pink lipstick and over-sized sunglasses, to block out the sun.

Though the weather may be getting a little cooler as we move into Autumn, that's not an excuse to mute your style. You can be just as bold and bright during the cooler months as you are during the warmer months. So my pick of the week this week is... the Ohiyo Opulent Bloom Suit Jacket from the never disappointing Ted Baker.

Great for all occasions; this suit jackets looks equally as amazing worn with ripped boyfriend jeans as it does with tailored trousers and a crisp white shirt. Check out how I styled it three ways (yes, I said three ways) in the coming weeks.

Worn with matching scarf (£35)

RRP £169... worth every penny!

Happy shopping!!!

I absolutely love floral, regardless of whether it's a subtle or bold print - I don't discriminate. Though I must admit I definitely love bight striking colours, so when I spotted a fitted top incorporating all these things I knew I had to get it. I'd seen quite a few things on the high street and online but nothing as striking as this top. Where was I... Primark, yes you better believe it!!!

Walking around the store with the lovely £12 top I spotted a midi full skirt and also a skort (cross between a skirt and shorts) in the same striking print. For those who know me personally, I get easily excited when shopping... and this definitely got me smiling. At a mere £12 each I picked up all three (and a yellow midi tube skirt) and headed to the till.

On the weekend I finally took some outfit photos of all three pieces... they'll be up within the next few days, promise. I was impressed with the way the print worked with so many different hues; I teamed it with black, cobalt blue and yellow. I also decided to paint my nails metallic deep purple, which looked great with the predominantly blue and purple print.

Instead of just show you each outfit, I thought it best that I tell you a bit out each item before showing you how I teamed them up with other things to make bold summer ensembles; for formal and casual events.

The top is a fitted t-shirt style, that nips in nicely at the waist. It has a round neckline, short sleeves and sits just below the waist. Great for petite ladies, I'd advise busty ladies try it on before they buy as your normal size may feel a little tight on the chest, despite to top containing Elastane. I teamed my top with a cobalt skirt and black ankle strap sandals - for a Summer office look. The top also looks great with black skinny jeans and bold wedge sandals.

The skirt is a midi length high waisted full skirt. I have quite a small waist and usually go for a size 8 in full skirts, especially if I want to wear them high waisted, but with this skirt the size 10 fit perfectly. I recently wore the skirt to a family BBQ with a black boob-tube top, black floppy hat and chunky black wedged sandals. For a more laid back look, the skirt also looks great with a t-shirt/vest and flat sandals.

Lastly, the skort. Shorts to the rear and a wrap skirt at the front. It sits quite high on the waist, if you get your normal size. I wanted it to sit low so went a size up, this is also advisable if you have quite full thighs like me. I teamed up my skort with a black bralet on a unusually hot day in London, covering up with a short yellow blazer later in the day.

It's almost the end of the month, so that means one thing for many of us... pay day!! This month for my 'Payday Treats' post I decided to choose a trend rather than a variety off things within a budget. I'm really loving floral prints at the moment (remember my recent post 'Vintage Rose'), so I'd thought I'd pick out some of my favourite pieces available on the high street and online. These are now my third pair of Primark heels and I have to say they're the best of the three. In August last year (Monochrome Heels) and again in January of this year (Green T-Bar Heels) I told you how great both my pairs of Primark heels are and these beauties are no different. Not only do they look amazing, they're very comfortable and definitely on trend. With Spring finally here, they're definitely the heels to be seen in!

What I love most about these heels is obviously the floral print - it's so bold and bright and has the potential to transform the dullest of outfits. With an array of colours, these heels work well with a variety of colours - so whatever pallet of colours you favour these shoes are bound to complement; from white to black, yellow to green. I myself love wearing them with my colour of the moment - cobalt.

I've found that I can wear either a UK 4 (EU37/US6) or UK 5 (EU38/US7) in Primark footwear - I guess it's the styling of the shoe determines the size I have to buy. Unlike my other two pairs, with these pointed courts I had to buy a size 5, surprisingly and to my delight, thankfully they fit very well a - neither too loose nor too tight. As I advise in all my shoe reviews, be safe and try on the shoes prior to purchase - in fact have a (very) short wonder around the shoe department to see how they feel, just don't head out of the store with them still on your feet (!) - that would be embarrassing.

Trying before buying is particularly important if you've had problems with pointed courts in the past, as dependent on the width of your feet they may prove a little snug where your toes are - I have normal width feet and find that these heels fit fine. However, ladies with wider feet may find the fit a little snug by the toes, which if purchased in spite of this problem could lead to decreased comfort - a typical issue with most pointed court heels from both luxury and high street brands.

Usually you get what you pay for - cheap shoes = cheap quality. But that doesn't apply to these heels at all. In fact the heels look much more expensive than their £12 price tag!! Evidently you can see that a lot of thought has been put into both the design and comfort of the heels. The multicoloured material to the exterior resembles satin - the sheen of the material really makes the colours pop and gives the heel a more luxe look. Both the interior and the base are a dark nude almost a fair tan colour, whilst this is doesn't detract from the heels, I would have opted for something a little more bold, in keeping with the rest of the shoe - perhaps cobalt or maybe even forest green.

The height of the heel is perfect for both everyday wear and occasional wear. At roughly 3.5 inches tall, you can pretty much wear them for hours on end before your feet start to hurt. To make up for the comfort that platform heels offer, Primark has included a discreet cushioning, so unlike with other heels by the end of the day/night it's unlikely that the balls of your feet will be sore and/or hard.

These heels would look great with a simple outfit like my Spring Fresh ensemble (see here) and would add a welcome pop of colour to an all black outfit like my Black and Simple ensemble (see here). Whilst I'd prefer to wear them occasionally, they'd glam up your office wear during Spring and Summer months and just as eqaully look cute when heading to Church or to a wedding with a elegant dress or skirt suit.
