A few weeks ago, maybe even months, I put together a black and white polka dot look (Polka Dot - check it out here)... as much as I loved the final look I couldn't help but feel like something was missing. At the time I couldn't put my finger on exactly what it was, that was until I put together this outfit. Colour, colour was missing from my outfit.
Don't get me wrong, I've loved many a outfit which have had the absence of colour, but there is something so magical and beautiful when black and white are teamed with a statement bold colour, like red or yellow, or even cobalt blue. This time I decided to team up the pair with mustard yellow; adding my Boohoo yellow duster with Pretty Little Ting crop top and art culottes. I finished off the look with perspex mules fro Boohoo and a yellow cross-body bag from Mango.
What's better than black and white polka dot? black and white polka dot with mustard yellow, that's what!

Well I think it is safe to say I've got a thing for co-ords. I don't know when it started and I don't know why, I just know it hit me hard and I'm a little obsessed (ha ha... just at little...honest). But seriously, can you blame me? A good co-ord to me is a God send. I always have trouble picking what to wear with what, so when you can have this problem resolved with a co-ord, where you're only left with decided what bag and shoes to wear, it really does help a lot. And that was exactly the situation with this co-ord I bought from Zara recently.
With its pretty emrboidered mterial in cream and navy, I wondered what would pop against my new favourite co-ord. I decided to go for something bold, but not to overwhelming, as I didn't want to detract from the beauty of the set. I decided to go for green, teaming up a green duster from Boohoo with a matching green cross body bag from Topshop. I finished off the look with perspex heels, bold red lipstick and oversized sunglasses... just to add a bit of glam.

Life can be hard sometimes. Things are not always how you'd hope they'd be, they don't always turn out the way you planned. But on other days things can feel so rosy and so good, it's like you can't believe how blessed you are. Right now I'm stuck in the middle, things are not the worst but the could be better... I'm still on my journey to achieving my goals, it's been hard and I've faced many a stumbling block... but I've kept going, because I know it'll all be worth it in the end. This is the mentality I'm taking for all aspects of my life; work, family, love and of course the blog.
Whilst I may not be as 'big' as many other bloggers out there, I feel truly blessed and happy to be able to do this, run my own little fashion blog. I've always been into fashion, I've always had my own distinctive style; so sometimes when other things may feel out of my control, when I'm not at my happiest, I remember that there is at least one thing I can control, one thing that I can go to to express myself; get my creative juices flowing; my blog.
I love playing dress up; putting together colour popping outfits, sexy little numbers and casual but cool looks. I wake up some mornings feeling like dressing a bit edgy, other days I want to dress cool, but as you know most of the time I like to dress somewhat sexy. With this outfit I couldn't quite make up my mind, so I thought why not just combine the three and throw a bit of culture into the mix. So, that's exactly what I done.
I wore these trousers a couple of weeks ago with the matching shirt, from Zara (as my friends and family tend to believe I only wear my purchases a couple of times, I decided from now on I'm going to wear things as much as possible and show the different ways they can be styled). I dumped the matching blouse and went for a red crop top from Boohoo (which you may have spotted I wore recently too), a longline denim jacket from Misspap and a denim clutch bag from Forever 21. I wrapped my denim look scarf around my head, put on cool red flat sandals from Zara and finished off the look with these funky but cool sunglasses from Pretty Little Thing.
Yes life can be hard, but one thing I've learnt is that it won't always be and there are things that we can do to make things better for ourselves, even if just a little bit better. We are in control of our own happiness, no one else. We decide what makes and breaks us, by our actions and attitude. I decided a while ago to let go of what is not making me happy, accept what I can not control and focus on what uplifts my mood, my spirit, my happiness. A positive attitude, determination, hard work and a good outfit can take you further than you ever thought possible.

I've gone through many fashion phases in my life, well if fashion is the right word, I'm not too sure. Basically, my style has changed a lot since I was a teenager. I remember the days when I was obsessed with mini skirts, then the days when all I wore was sportswear, to my party-loving days in tight bodycon dresses. Now, I'm pretty experimental, I don't have a particular style, I wear everything and anything... so long as it is flattering.
Many years ago, I wouldn't have been caught dead in girly clothes, but today I decided to feature some very feminine pieces to create this chic outfit. I picked baby pink and red, opting for a longline blazer, a frilly midi skirt and a ribbed crop top I finished off the look with perspex heeled sandals and a cute cross body bag, which brought together the colours of the outfit.
A lot has changed over the years, fashionably... for the better.

I've always been confident and daring when it comes to my outfits, I'm not afraid to take risks, I'm not afraid to stand out. I love wearing bold outfits, mixing textures and prints, but most of all I lovee mixing colours. So seizing the opportunity of the good weather in London, of recent, I decided to feature a daring and bold outfit once again.
Usually I'd colour block with two different colours, but this time round I decided to go for three. I teamed purple with pink and yellow, to create this head-turning outfit. A purple deep cut long-sleeve bodysuit, with pink tailored trousers and a yellow duster, were complemented with black perspex heeled mules and a simple black and gold cross-body bag. I finished off the look with purple cat-eyed sunglasses and a dash of rich purple lipstick from Mac Cosmetics. Sexy, bold and bright... just the way I like my outfits.

I've built up a little bit of a reputation as a colour block lover, surprisingly with some of my blogger friends referring to me as the 'Colour Block Queen'. Not wanting to be dethroned, I decided to put together another colour block outfit, featuring two colours I've long loved; Cobalt Blue and Dark Orange. I decided to keep the pieces simple, so the focus is primarily on the colours, as oppose to anything else.
I opted for this cool long-line tie-front kimono from Boohoo, teaming it with skinny fit trousers from Primark and a matching studded bag from MissPap. I finished off the look with my favourite perspex heels fro Ego Official and a pretty layered necklace from Pretty Little Thing.

I've been featuring a number of striped looks, so it's about time I showed you all that there are other prints that I also like... like floral. You many have read in one of my recent posts, that I wasn't always a fan of the print, due to my mum decking out the family home with floral vomit in the 1990s. However, much has changed and floral has for a long while been one of my favourite prints. So when I came across this cute co-ord set on Boohoo, I decided to get it.
I decided to team up the set with a black sweetheart neckline bracket, that I've had for a few years now (also from Boohoo). I finished off the look with some pretty gold pieces; a gold bag from Mango and a gold cross chain belt from Pretty Little Thing. I finished off the look with bold but pretty pink lipstick and over-sized sunglasses, to block out the sun.
