'Fashion anticipates, and elegance is a state of mind... a mirror of the time in which we live, a translation of the future, and should never be static.'
- Oleg Cassini
Today I decided to brighten up my work attire, office wear needn't be dull and boring... and it's surprising how much a little bit of colour can change your mood. In a recent post I told you about my amazing buys in Primark (have a read here) and here's the top. I decided to go for the full works, teaming a bold floral top with a cobalt blue wrap skirt. I kept my jewellery to a minimum wearing a single ring that flattered the hues in my top, a elegant watch a gold studs. I finished the look with black ankle straps sandals and a smart black tote.

I love these trousers from H&M and have worn them quite a few times now. Sometime in March I featured these trousers in my blog post 'Gridded in Monochrome' (check it out here), it was a very bold look - which I loved and still do love, but I thought today I'd show you an alternative way to wear the trousers, I guess a more office friendly way. I ditched the monochrome jacket and teamed up the ensemble with a black short blazer, I added the lime green bag for a hint of colour and opted for some gold drop earrings as oppose to the gold chunky chain (like the necklace, the earrings are from one of my favourite costume jewellery designers Gogo Philip).

This is me, this is my fashion, a sort of reflection of my character - a little rough round the edges but sweet and soft on the inside. This outfit definitely shows my character. I decided to be different, most people usually wear only one item of leather clothing in an outfit, but I wanted to show you can wear more and still look good (like I did in my previous post 'Full Leather: Monochrome'). I decided to soften things up a bit by adding a flash of pastel pink to the mix and smartened up the look with a white chiffon blouse. The bag epitomised how I was feeling and looking that day... 'Stressed, but well dressed'. I finished off the look with these amazing rock chic Kurt Geiger heels and a stack of arm candy.

A couple of posts back I wrote about the Pigalle Exclusive Collection launch I attended at Selfridges. Well, I thought it was only right that I showed you what I wore to the urban event. I weren't urban at all, in fact wearing a shirt under a jumper, in matchy-matchy coloured attire - I looked all prim and proper, nevertheless I liked the outfit - who wants to blend in with everyone else anyway. I decided to stick to one of my favourite colour combinations monochrome, but added some cobalt to make the outfit pop. I finished off the look with some killer high ankle boots and my smart black Michael Kors bag.

'Fashion is not necessarily about labels. It's not about brands. It's about something else that comes from within you.'

I've got a bad habit of buying clothes, wearing them once or twice and then leaving them to rot in my wardrobe - I know there's others out there that do the same, we need to stop (lol... no seriously we do!). I recently done a big clear out and came across this leopard print pussybow blouse that I had fallen in love with on display in Forever 21 a few months previously. Today I decided to shop my wardrobe and wear the blouse, teaming it up with a short black blazer and black jeggings - I wanted the once abandoned blouse to get all the attention. I completed the look with cute suede Chelsea boots and my signature Michael Kors bag. I think this ensemble would have gone well with red lippie and matching red manicure... but decided to keep it all neutral this time round.
