A few weeks ago, maybe even months, I put together a black and white polka dot look (Polka Dot - check it out here)... as much as I loved the final look I couldn't help but feel like something was missing. At the time I couldn't put my finger on exactly what it was, that was until I put together this outfit. Colour, colour was missing from my outfit.
Don't get me wrong, I've loved many a outfit which have had the absence of colour, but there is something so magical and beautiful when black and white are teamed with a statement bold colour, like red or yellow, or even cobalt blue. This time I decided to team up the pair with mustard yellow; adding my Boohoo yellow duster with Pretty Little Ting crop top and art culottes. I finished off the look with perspex mules fro Boohoo and a yellow cross-body bag from Mango.
What's better than black and white polka dot? black and white polka dot with mustard yellow, that's what!

I'm not one for following trends, but I can understand why the Polka Dot trend is hot on the scene right now and why everyone wants in. The timeless classic is one of my favourites, always has been... especially in black and white. So I decided to finally get in on the action and feature a look of my own.

I decided to go for triple polka dot, teaming a large print polka dot skirt from ASOS with a small polka blouse from Missguided and a matching bag from Zara. I finished off the look with cat-eyed sunglasses from Topshop and Gold platform heels from ASOS.

Thought I'd go for something a little different, a little more classy but still trendy (with the inclusion of the crop top). I'm all for prints at the moment, leopard, stripes, florals and of course polka dots... so I just had to put this on the blog for you all to see. I teamed up the co-ord with a blog floppy hat for and simple white ankle strap heels, for a sophisticated yet fashionable look.
