Ree Styles: Floral Crop Top

I recently went shopping with a friend and spotted this lovely oversized floral crop top in H&M. It was love at first sight! I had several ideas of how I'd wear it running through my mind but clearly she didn't as she asked "but how would you wear that?". That's when a light bulb popped over my head, I had an idea, why not share the way I'd wear certain things with everyone on my blog (thanks Lisa). So here's my first 'Ree Styles' post for the hot new top from H&M.

When putting together each of the outfits I decided to make the top the main focus, so I opted for dark colours, which I feel really make the bold colours in the top stand out even more. There's no harm in adding colour, but I kept with the current Winter Florals trend and left it all very dark and moody.

I tried to incorporate some trends that people love.. that I love; the ever reliable and cool ripped boyfriend jeans, the sexy and season-in-season-out black leather skirt and lastly, the figure hugging lady loving high waisted skinny jeans.

H&M also do a matching midi pencil skirt, which I think would look great with the top and a white collared shirt (don't tuck the shirt in), to give it a smart but funky look. I'd team it with white or bright coloured shoes (not black!) and a muted clutch bag, perhaps black. However, I didn't buy the skirt, it was far too long for a petite lady like me, so my styling suggestions below are just for the top.
